I am seeing the enthusiasm for wood heat which reminds me a little of the enthusiasm for cocaine in the '80s, time having erased the cocaine dangers from the early 20th century. Was not wood the primary way of heating throughout the 19th century? Did not that give rise to a wave of TB, including many deaths of adults in their 40s including Henry Thoreau? All I can say is: if you have the right lungs for it, burn away.
